End of semester
How did the semester go for you? Was Adventure Ed what you expected? What was your favorite moment of the semester? What was your least favorite moment of the semester other than the dreadful fitness days? What are your goals for next semester? What could I have done differently to make your experience better in this class?

I think this semester went really well, better than I thought it would based on the beginning of class. adventure ed was better than I expected because I met so many new people. my favorite moment was rapelling face first and my least favorite moment was probably the first few days of school when I didn't know almost anyone. I'm really excited for next semester, my one goal is that the class keeps growing closer.

This semester was pretty good I guess. Adventure Ed. definitely wasn't what I expected. I decided to do Adventure Ed. because I figured we would hardly ever dress and we wouldn't do much work; we'd just do easy stuff like rapelling and such. However, I was quickly proven wrong, as we have dressed quite often and I think I can honestly say I've done more physical labor and come close to suffering a heart attack (because of exercise) more than I have in all of my previous P.E. classes. That's just me, though; I don't enjoy any kind of P.E. generally and I'm not very athletic. If I had to pick which P.E. was my favorite out of the ones I've had, I'd pick this one. My favorite moment was probably roller-blading, while my least favorite moment was probably (Oh, wait, we can't pick the fitness days?) the trust fall.

The semester went great I think. It was mostly was I expected it to be. There was a lot more to it than I thought though. It got better as the weeks went by. My favorite moment would probably be the team building acivites where we had to get everyone over the rope without touching it and the swinging from island to island on the rope. My least favorite would have been going upsidedown while rapelling because. I'm excited for next semester and a goal I have is to advance more and do more challenging things while getting closer with my classmates.

I think the school year so far has been going pretty well. I didn't really expect outdoor ad. to be like this, but now, as first semester's already ending, I really enjoyed it. I feel so much more comfortable with everyone and we've had some really fun times, especially with the group activities. I think one of my favorites had to be the activity we did last week with the swinging ropes. I didn't really have a least favorite moment, but I know there was a lot of tension in the beginning of the year. Thankfully that's over. My goal for next semester is to get over my slight fear of heights and do more difficult activities without being afraid. I'm excited for climbing!

I really enjoyed the first semester of adventure ed. i think team building has been rewarding and when we started team building i didnt really see the benefits but i think we wouldnt have gotten as far as we have without all the team building. im looking forward to climbing and becoming more educated in school about stuff like this. its a nice break during my day which is fun and rewarding in different ways.

My semester in outdoor adv went pretty welll. :)It was definitely what I expected, but after I did all those activities, I was surprised I could do them all. My favorite moment was when I first rappelled and I succeeded. My least favorite moment was when I rappeled upside down and I kept slipping on the wall. My goal for next semester is to stop being afraid of trying new things. I wish you would've let us pick one friend to be in a group with and combine the pairs into groups. I was kind of lonely at first. ><
ReplyDeleteI think this semester went well. Adventure Ed. is definitely not what I had expected it to be. My favorite part of class was the team building activities, even though as a class we struggled through them, I still enjoy stuff like that. My least favorite part in class would be that one game where we all had to cross the room making a different action & noise. That was embarrassing and I don't like when the spotlight is on me. My goals for the next semester is to be more talkative / interact more with people I don't know.

I think this semester was alright. I never made it down the wall so next semester my goal would be climbing up the wall in the gymnastics room.

I really enjoyed rappelling, but it was a bit tedious getting through all of the knot-tying and set up. It was about what I expected, which was a lotof fun!!:) Next semester I want to... go on the field trip and have lots of fun!

i really like this adventure class. it's not what i expected, but it is a lot of fun and has taught me a lot... especially trust. i dont really have a favorite activity, but i like watching the group grow as a whole. we are becoming much more comfortable with eachother. and fitness days arent bad at all.. i like em! goals for next semester... not be afraid of heights. :) and i think you are doing a wonderful job as a teacher! dont change one bit.

I really enjoyed this semester, it met my expectations. I was really excited to start this class because I've heard it was really fun. my favorite part was rappelling, it was really scary at first but once you got used to it it was really fun. I agree with Connor that the fitness days were the worst, and there were a lot more of them than i expected. I also didn't like the days where all we did was tie knots, that wasn't very exciting.

I really have loved outdoor adventure.. I am soo excited to climb! My favorite part has been repelling and going upside down.. I'd say that was the most adventurous thing I've done so far.. Oh and I loved the trust fall, because it took a lot of trust and courage. My least favorite part was when we had to do the activity with all the different jump ropes in the wrestling room, and no one was seeing eye to eye that day. I am hoping for second semester to be more adventurous and for us to get to do more stuff..My goal is to make it to the top of that one rock wall with the thing jutting out.

ReplyDeletethis semester was very good and this class was as much fun as i thought it would be and we did some things i didn't think we would do like some of the team building activities. My favorite mement of the semester was the repelling it was fun and exciting and you really had to trust the people in your repelling group. there was never a day that i didn't like what we were doing in class and i think that you are doing a great job Mr. H. a goal for next semester is to be able to climb part of the rock wall with part of it sticking out of the wall and the feild trip.

I really enjoyed rappelling. I think it's a little intimidating at first, but the more you do it the more comfortable you feel. In the beginning of the year i wasn't sure that we could pull it together to trust eachother and work well in small groups, but now it's easy for me at least to be thrown into a random group and feel comfortable. Also, fitness days really aren't that bad. Maybe i'm a little biased since i enjoy exercise.

I think it was a lot better than I expected. I loved going to this class every day and pushing my boundaries. My favorite part was finding out that I could do something I had never done before and likewise the worst part was finding out that I couldn't do something. I just want to be able to get through all of the exercises from now on and try to do my best.

I really enjoyed this semester. I really liked doing team building activities and repelling with my group. I was so nervous at first, but once I did it, it felt good that I overcame my fear. By doing all those team building and trust activities, it was really easy to repel with my group. Next semester, I would like to do more team building activities.

Overall, I really enjoyed this gym class because I was able to try so many new things like rapelling. This class was a lot more fun than I thought it would be and my favorite part of this class was the rollerblading unit. I hope we can do more team building activities next semester too.

I enjoyed this class alot this semester, and I especially liked the rappelling. I also liked the team building things that we did. Next semester, I'm excited for rock climbing and other team building activities.

I have definitely learnt a lot this semester. I feel that I am starting to like rappelling more and more. Initially I was quite scared but have overcome certain fears. I am looking forward to starting climbing, and hope that I can move on to more riskier tasks. Since the beginning of the year, I feel that we have really grown as a class. We are more trustworthy and can understand each others' feelings much better.
