Rappel on!

Tell us what your concerns are with rappelling, I want you to consider the groups, the set up, the safety measures, the accountability sheet, and what ever else that concerns you with this activity that we will be doing the next few weeks.

  1. I'm not worried about my group at all. I'm happy with my group and trust them completely. I'm worried about the process of setting up and messing up one detail could be potentially bad an I don't want to be responsible for an injury by being careless.

  2. I am a tad worried about the set up. Even though I know my group can handle it, you can't help but second guess all the knots when you are waiting for the harness to catch you. I am really excited to see everyone go down the wall!

  3. I completely trust my group. the only thing I'm worried about is remembering exactly how to set everything up. there is a lot to remember when setting up and forgetting one simple step could result in injury. overall I'm not very worried about repelling I trust my group with everything.

  4. Right now, we're still getting used to the setup so I wouldn't be comfortable rappeling yet, but as we get more practice with it, we'll get more and more confident with the setup. I trust my group, and I think this is going to be alot of fun!

  5. I trust the members of my group, but right now we need a lot of work on how to set it up. But I know we will have alot of practice in the next few days so i think it will end up being fine. I am really excited to repell, I think it will be a lot of fun.

  6. I guess I'm pretty worried about falling, buit I more worried about dropping someone while their rappeling. That would kinda suck. Realistically, the worst thing I can see happening to my group is that we can figure out our knots.

  7. I'm most worried about not knowing how to set up properly.... and that's the biggest part about being safe. Other then that, i can't wait to start repelling!

  9. I'm not too worried about rappelling to much, mostly, just filling in the people who have been absent on what's going on. That might get a little difficult since no one really know 100% what's going on.

  10. We should have been able to choose our own groups for the first couple of times we repel because I would rather be with my friends that I trust because I know they wouldn't let me fall, instead of people I don't know or trust..

  11. I am definitely afraid of heights, but I trust everyone in my group. I guess, the hardest part for me is going to be making it over the ledge, and leaning back. My main goal is to get over this fear!

  12. I'm not scared of actually doing the rappelling, but I'm a little concerned about the set up. It seems a bit long and confusing and it'll probably take a while to get that down.

  13. I'm not as worried about set up because I know all the knots and so do most memebers in my group also when we set up the other day we were fine. What I am worried about is everyone in my group getting along and being pacient with eachother. I believe we have it in us to do so, I just think it will take us a while to get there.

  14. I trust the members in my group. I am just nervous getting over the ledge and leaning back to repeal. I know I will be safe, it just is still very scary.

  15. I'm not at all concerned with my group because I know we can work together well but I'm concerned about remembering the set up with the ropes, etc. It will be a fun experience though and I'm looking foward to it!

  19. I'm a little scared about the set up because there's so much to remember and if we do anything wrong, it could possibly be dangerous. However, I feel our group is pretty prepared and we know what we're doing. I trust all of them as well.

  21. I first got nervous when we were given the demo because there were a lot of information I needed to know. But once we got in with our groups, I realized that the collaboration of our knowledge would really pull us through this together.

  22. There is so much to remember and a lot you need to know to set up correctly and feel safe with your setup. I think it was easier once we had six people all working together to get it done though and shared the responsibilities. I trust my group and i really have no concerns as of now.

  24. You really have to be able to trust your group and make sure you tie all of the knots correctly and make sure the carribeaners and harness are on right. After everything is secure it isn't too bad, you just have to trust your group and yourself as well.

  25. My group was REALLY slow at first, but as days went by, we got really good at setting things up and letting people rappel fast.

  26. I remember being concerned about the equiptment. I never really trusted it too much. I also need less slippery gym shoes. My group is also pretty slow at setting up and switching. Kayla Aeschliman
